Junior Church (3-7 yrs)

We meet every Sunday in term time to have fun whilst talking and thinking about God during the 10am Eucharist at Holy Trinity. Starting in church, we go to the Trinity Centre during the first hymn where we tell a story in the form of ‘Godly Play’, do a craft activity, have a drink and a biscuit and say prayers before joining the main service for a blessing towards the end of communion. Various social activities for children and parents happen throughout the year (the highlight being the Christmas Party).

Trinity Breakfast Club (8-12 yrs)

Trinity Breakfast Club is a very informal, lively group which meets in the Trinity Centre during the 10am Eucharist.  Alongside teaching from the Roots programme designed for this age group, there is a very successful series of visitors from members of the HTSM congregation who come to talk about their service in the community or something else which has enriched their lives. We usually rejoin the service at The Peace so that the children of this age group can participate fully in the preparation for Eucharist.  Children can receive a blessing at the altar if they have not celebrated their First Communion (see Children & Communion).

Children & Communion (7yrs+)

Since 2000, this parish has enthusiastically welcomed children into full communion at the altar.  Children who have undertaken a specially designed course of preparation run by experienced teachers in the parish, receive bread and wine each Sunday at the Eucharist alongside their parents, friends and adults of all ages.  The preparation finishes with a special service involving parents and godparents at which the parish celebrates with great joy people of all ages being “in full communion” with each other and with our Lord. Café Club (12-15 yrs)

Every Thursday in termtime a group of our young people aged 12-15 meet up in a café in central Guildford from 5.15 for hot chocolate or milkshake, snacks and chat.  We relax and wind down from the school day together and every week have a topic for discussion, about living our lives as young people in today’s world.  We finish around 6.15 so that those in the choir can go to practice. Anyone in this age group is warmly invited and welcome to come along.

Brownies

Holy Trinity Brownie Pack is a lively group of 30 girls between seven and ten years old.  We meet at the Trinity Centre every Friday in term time from 5.15pm to 6.45pm. The Brownies learn and enjoy many new skills and activities, covering a varied programme including first aid, cooking, sports, dance, craft, singing, outings to enjoy nature, swimming, to name but a few. The girls are arranged in groups of six of mixed ages so that new girls have older Brownies looking after them and guiding them. The highlight of each year is the Pack Holiday, and there are often other outings and events arranged for weekends and school holidays.
