RECRUITMENT
Inclusive, Welcoming, Engaged.
Appointment of Organist for Holy Trinity Church
Post: Organist
Location: Holy Trinity Church, Guildford
Salary: £3,600–£4,500 per annum (depending on agreed responsibilities; above RSCM rates)
Responsible to: Director of Music
We are looking for a skilled organist to accompany Sunday evening services at Holy Trinity Church. Holy Trinity Church offers a supportive and appreciative environment, and the opportunity to play Cathedral-style repertoire each Sunday, without additional responsibilities. The post would suit an excellent organist with a portfolio career or similar.
The Organist is not expected to attend the 10.00am Sung Eucharist, nor the weekly Thursday choir practices (unless specifically asked to do so and by prior agreement). There is some flexibility depending on the availability, interests and willingness of the candidate.
There may be an opportunity for the right candidate to develop the role further through mentoring young organ scholars (the church may be available for teaching), supporting chorister development, or working in the community (but this is not required)
Appointment of Full-Time Family & Children's Minister
Post: Full-Time Family & Children's Minister
Location: Holy Trinity Church, Guildford
Salary: £30,000 - £34,950 per annum
Responsible to: Parochial Church Council of Holy Trinity & St Mary's, Guildford
Holy Trinity & St Mary’s Guildford is seeking a full-time Family & Children’s Minister with an inclusive vision of the Gospel to lead in the Ministry Team on building and extending our work. We are connected with a large number of children and young people through our amazing church choir and our links with our church schools (among others), and there is real potential to develop this work in exciting ways on Sundays and across the week. We offer warm, welcoming congregations, a large, highly-supportive and encouraging team of ordained and lay ministers, paid and voluntary, and a commitment to make this role the top priority in our resourcing in the years ahead.
We’re not perfect. But we are open to growth, change and the insights that someone with the right experience and gifts can bring. If you fancy working in a busy town centre parish with a commitment to traditional and, more recently, contemporary worship, a vision that excludes no one (and really means it), and which is ready for a change of culture in this area of its ministry, give us a try.
Enhanced DBS required. There is a genuine occupational requirement that the post-holder be a practising Christian.
